Short version: aim for fewer than 50 characters, lead with your best feature, and skip emojis and all caps. Here is what Airbnb's own guidance says, with examples.
Airbnb's guidelines for writing your listing title say to start with the most important information and try to use fewer than 50 characters, because longer titles are automatically shortened in search results to fit smaller screens. Their example: "Country cabin with lake view, fire pit, boat ramp" may show up as "Country cabin with lake view..."
Some channel managers also enforce a 50 character cap when they sync titles to Airbnb (for example, Guesty For Hosts counts title plus nickname, including spaces).

| Nice apartment | No feature, says nothing | Quiet loft with desk and fast Wi-Fi (35) |
Yes. Airbnb says you can change your title whenever you want, and changes may take up to an hour to show (Airbnb Help). Many hosts try a few versions over time.
